Howedy, we're in montana now, which is famous for it's huge skies and it' mines. I also learned that Helena the Capitol of Montana since 1875, owes it's existence to four discouraged prospectors who, in 1864, stumbled apron a gully which they dubbed "Last Chance Gulch" and decided to dig. Their "last chance" uncovered gold in what is now Helena's main street. While I've been in montana, I've seen letters on the mountains so far we've seen S, F, L, and D; we don't know what they mean, but we are going to try and find out. Also when we first came into the state there were so many trees, but the farther in we got, the less trees there was. Oh and one more thing, don't try to steal a farmer's cow or horse, or he'll shoot ya. ;)

Now we're heading to the Montana prison at deer lodge. And still no trees; and we haven't seen any other letters yet either, but they happen to turn up when you least expect it :)
ReplyDeleteWe just saw a "P" on a water tower but we aren't sure if it counts.
